Who We Are
Marcus leads EFCG’s Technology Practice. He brings more than 25 years of deep technical, business, and industry experience leading and managing major programs and projects and creating and growing organizations. Marcus currently is also the CEO of EcoLucid, a Boston based specialty engineering consulting firm. Prior to EcoLucid, he founded and was the CEO of and a Board Director at the first provider of software-as-a-service products for intelligent, real-time monitoring and control of stormwater. Previously, Marcus was a Principal and served as a Board member at an 1,100 person multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm.
Marcus’ passion is to inspire world-class teams working together to innovate, transform, build, and grow enterprises and organizations to solve our most urgent and complex civil and environmental problems at scales that dramatically improve outcomes for people and communities. He is a Professional Engineer and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Engineering and Environmental Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University. Marcus spends his free time with his wife and children getting outdoors as much as possible often fishing, hiking, kayaking, or sailing.

Since 1990, EFCG has advised on over 200 completed M&A transactions in the AEC industry, equivalent to roughly $9 billion in total M&A consideration, which is estimated to be more than any other financial advisor or investment banking firm in this industry. EFCG provides integrated advisory services to AEC firms and assists financial sponsors seeking to invest in the industry.
