Alexandre L’Heureux named EFCG CEO of the Year, WSP Global CEO

Colorado Springs, CO – It was EFCG’s great pleasure to announce Alexandre L’Heureux of WSP Global as the winner of our 2024 CEO of the year award last week at EFCG’s 35th Annual CEO Conference.

In the nine years that Alexandre has been President and CEO of WSP Global, the firm has grown from C$6.4B in annual revenues in 2016 to C$14.4B this past year, with over 73,000 team members in some 60 countries. WSP has earned and maintained its #1 position in Engineering News-Record magazine’s list of Top International Design Firms for four consecutive years.

Under Alexandre, WSP has been recognized among the world's 100 best companies of 2023, according to Time magazine's prestigious ranking, which takes into account revenue growth, employee-satisfaction surveys, and sustainability data. It was exciting to see WSP recognized among top global companies across all industries, for their commitment to developing a people-first culture, and rigorously pursuing sustainability goals – which have been core focuses of Alexandre since he took his position. During his tenure, Alexandre has carried out over 90 acquisitions, strategically expanding WSP’s expertise and service offering in high-growth sectors. With the recently completed milestone acquisition of POWER Engineers, WSP is creating the preeminent pure-play global consulting firm for the world’s energy transition.

In his remarks, Alexandre noted: “..the role of engineering has never been more critical. In the face of global challenges, it is engineering that offers hope and tangible solutions.”

For his transformative leadership and commitment to a sustainable future worldwide, we recognized Alexandre with our 2024 CEO of the Year award. Please join us in congratulating Alexandre, and his team, on this accomplishment.
